Be Cautious When Passing Bicyclists

Do you know how to pass bicyclists safely? NH law requires that when passing a bicyclist, drivers should leave a reasonable and cautious distance of at least three feet when the vehicle is traveling at 30 miles per hour or less. Be sure to share the road next time you are passing a bicyclist. NHRSA 265:143-a

Unlike riders shown in this photo, please wear a helmet! Bicyclists less than 16 years of age are required to wear a helmet by NH law RSA 265:144. "
